It’s not frivolous to insist that, even as we die we’re creatures of fiction and pretending, that we’re not simply ‘facts’ or biology, that we may not be contained by either. I don’t think it is frivolous to insist that, even as one dies, one is multiple, playful, partial, strategic and indeed fictional”
